During the last several years, we were fortunate to be included in a program sponsored by Pedigree Foods. For shelters that qualified, Pedigree gave us free puppy, dog, and cat food. You never knew exactly how much you could receive but it was always worth the drive to Columbia to get the food.
Pedigree is now revamping the program. They terminated the free food so we have had to purchase all food for the last several months. We recently heard that we can receive some food on a limited basis but won’t know the details until next week.
Here is what we need…if you could purchase cans or bags of Pedigree puppy or dog food for us, that would be greatly appreciated! You can drop it by the shelter or by my office at Florence School District One. You can also contact Katy at the shelter for more details (669-2921). We try especially to keep our puppies on the same kind of food so this would be a wonderful donation to our animals!
We are also re-introducing our Bag-a-month Club. Folks can sign up to donate money on a quarterly basis to cover our food purchases. We purchase all special food items such as milk replacement for kittens and puppies, high nutritional canned food for special need animals…all of which costs $$. Click here for the Bag-a-month form. Let me know if you have any questions!
Thank for caring, Jayne
