| I want to say "thank you" to Brenda Avant and our staff for their caring
hearts and willingness to do whatever it takes to run our shelter. Maybe many of
you think that is what they are supposed to do. But you must realize how small a
staff we have. Each day, only 4 (sometimes 3) people clean the shelter from top
to bottom. They feed, vaccinate, and medically treat all the animals, all the
while answering the phone and managing people bringing animals or wanting to
adopt. On top of all that, there is a lot of paperwork, and animal cruelty
investigations. Is is a huge task. This is why I constantly "beg" for your help.
The more volunteers we have, the more donations we get, the more animals we can
save. Think about what you can do to help our shelter. We need volunteers to help onsite, volunteers for pet adoptions, volunteers for newsletters, than you notes written, mailings, fundraisers, volunteers to walk dogs, foster puppies and kittens, and people to play with our residents.
